Tobacco Mapping
The Providence Plan analyzed tobacco vendor data for the RI Department of Health Tobacco Control Program. The following maps display the data for two Providence neighborhoods—the Eastside and Southside—which differ in size, population density, and median household income. The maps help to illustrate the disparities between the number of vendors, amount of advertisements, and proximity of vendors to schools between the two communities.
